Zetnet Services - FTP Requestor Service
Using ZETNET's ftp requestor:-
The e-mail address of the requestor is: ftp-request@spodden.zetnet.co.uk
You will need the site name from which to FTP the files, the full path to the required directory and of course the filenames of the files you wish to collect locally.
In the body of the message you send to ftp-request use the following template as a guide:
Site: Dir: Binary: Ascii:Here is a real example.
Site: sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk Dir: /Mirrors/ftp.winsite.com/pub/pc/win3/demo Binary: 3drender.zip Binary: search1d.zip Dir: /Mirrors/ftp.winsite.com/pub/pc/win3/desktop Binary: autoenh.zip Dir: /Mirrors/ftp.winsite.com/pub/pc/win3 Ascii: SOFTWARE.TXT Ascii: last100uploads Ascii: INDEXIf you wanted some file(s) from another site as well, then you could just continue with another "Site:" command and the directory etc.
Long lines can be split by using the "" character, eg.
this
-is going-
to
be a long
-line
Would reconstitute as: this-is going-to be a long-line
NOTE: Spaces at the end of lines are stripped, spaces at the start of lines are NOT.
If you make a further request before the last has been processed, then your previous request will be overwritten. To get around this you can resubmit your previous request with the new one, in ONE email.
Requested files are held on the ZETNET ftp site, you will be emailed when the file(s) are ready for pickup.
Please do not overuse this facility.
