AALBORG |

Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Race Aalborg coincides with the 100th anniversary of the proud ship Jens Krogh and a better birthday party couldn't be imagined.
Almost 20 years of participating in Tall Ships' Races, mostly Cutty Sark races but also Grand Ragatta Columbus 1992 and Sail Osaka '97 - a total of 31 single races to date - has brought Jens Krogh to many parts of Europe. To this must be added a number of destinations outside Europe. Everywhere, we have been met with generous hospitality in connection with the many events in which we have participated.
It is thus a great pleasure for us that our home port of Aalborg now has the opportunity to extend similar hospitality to all visiting vessles in connection with the Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Races 1999.
Unlike many other cities, Aalborg is not twinned with just one other city , but has a widespread net-work of contacts with no fewer than 25 cities round the world. We have a great deal of international experience to draw upon, so we are confident that Aalborg will be able to live up to the highest of expectations.
For us who sail on the Jens Krogh, it is a great pleasure that we will be able to welcome the many personal friends we have made over the years, in ISTA, Berry Bros. & Rudd and, not least, the many friends on board the ships we have competed against.
We hope that all of you will come to Aalborg in 1999 and help us to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Jens Krogh.
